Cornus florida 'Pluribracteata' was selected for its padded flowers. Every flower has about 6-10 bracts. These appear from mid-April and are bright white. The 'Pluribracteata' is a compact bush, which is semi-wintergreen and does not shed in mild winters. It, however, does not have the color change in autumn as the rest of the species. It is a healthy grower and is not susceptible to leafspots and mildew. The rest of its characteristics are equal to those of Cornus florida
